Taking things Sloe

My final hidden gem at (capsule) Berlin is Sloe, the beautiful Berlin based clothing company.

After only being up and running for a year, Sloe have big things ahead of them. Their AW13 collection consisted of muted greys, blacks and the occasional strong blue and maroon is something of beauty.

In talking to their representative, he explained that the inspiration behind the collection was the city of Berlin itself, a reflection of the buildings, the people and its history, making the collection even more beautiful and delicate.

Their collection, impeccably presented at the show, was equally shown through their look book in the form on four newspapers, and individual leaves of look book.

Loreak Mendian

Once again, another gem found at (capsule) Berlin!

Loreak Mendian surprised me with their vibrant collection of practically fashionable pieces, in beautiful blues, coppers and knits as far as the eye could see.

It was obvious from first glance that this is a brand who likes to have fun, and they are certainly very quirky, for after a chat with their brand representative, I recieved a gorgeous tote bag with their logo on, and a tin of brand personalised sardines!

With the freezing temperatures in the city outside, it was a welcome site to see their cosy knits in beautiful geometric prints.

Richer Poorer

The sock guys at Richer Poorer were a highlight of (capsule) trade show, and not just because of the freebies they gave me!

As I chatted to Joe Tornatzky, I realised that these guys weren't just about socks, they are creating a lifestyle for men and women the world over. Their socks offer a cheeky glimpse into someones life. You can picture serious businessmen in important meetings, discussing finance and law, and between the tops of their shoes and the hem of their trousers, you can catch a glimpse of Richer Poorer socks, you know they have a fun side too :)

Despite their recent women's collection, I am in love with each pattern of the original mens collection. They are the kinds of socks I would steal off my boyfriend and not be afraid to show them off.

The passions that these guys have is incredible. They are going to go so far with both lines, and up and coming projects in the future too.

Mind Of Line

Trade shows always throw up hidden gems, and Mind of Line are just that.

Born from little things that catch the designers eye during her travels and days out, these elegant silk scarves are delicately printed with these images that have been expanded and changed.

All of the colours used are very muted, with soft shades of greens and pinks, matching the brands soft and charming nature.

The passion behind this brand is truly inspiring, with them showing their entire collection at Show and Order. They really are worth a moment of your time.
